FEES
Consultation Fees
Consultation fees are not covered by private health insurance. Medicare provides a partial rebate, with the remaining balance being an out-of-pocket expense.
Fees vary depending on the type of appointment. In most cases, a follow-up consultation is required after surgery to review progress and ensure optimal recovery.
If you would like further information regarding consultation fees, please contact the rooms and our team will be happy to assist.
Surgery Fees
For patients with private health insurance, your insurer will contribute toward the cost of your procedure. In many cases, this does not cover the full cost, and an out-of-pocket expense (often referred to as a “gap”) may apply.
We understand that financial considerations are an important part of planning your care. Wherever possible, you will be provided with clear information about expected costs prior to your procedure, allowing you to make informed decisions.
In some cases, agreements with health insurers may reduce or eliminate out-of-pocket costs. This will be clarified at the time of consultation and booking.
Anaesthetic fees are billed separately and will be discussed directly with your anaesthetist prior to surgery. If needed, we can assist in facilitating this discussion ahead of time.
